A quick note on an artistic addition to the archive.
Intrigued by our account of the Stoke Newington Nursery Vanishing, the Unreal Estates project investigated a 19th Century house said by some to be connected to the event. (Others believe the Mayhew house – location of the strange disappearance of a Victorian child – no longer exists).
Artist Elysia Byrd was commissioned to explore – via her vibrant and expressive paintings – the atmosphere of the house and its story.
The resulting report was featured in the Unreal Estates brochure.
